Cardian Matsu Before Celadon Plaza was a label, it was a publication run by one guy, with the goal of telling people what was releasing and when. In a tight-knit scene with tighter-knit people, there’s this sense of the best of people being there to people everyone up.

In moving towards the hosting of vaporwave and distribution of it to people at high quality, Celadon focused on servicing the community in a new way, while also keeping the same sentiment of its roots.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of the artists and supporters who made Year One of Celadon Plaza a success. An additional thank you to every artist who donated a track to make this release possible. This compilation aims to celebrate this first year and give back to causes greater than Vaporwave.

I can't express how touching the support has been this past year. I started the Celadon Plaza label simply to preserve Vaporwave I loved. Every single release we do is simply that: it's an album that I love and want on tape. To have so many people share my love and support these artists and projects is simply amazing.

Proceeds from this compilation will all be donated to the Prevent Cancer Foundation, an organization that seeks to create a world where cancer is preventable, detectable and beatable for all. Cancer has affected the lives of my family, the families of many of my dearest friends in the Vaporwave community, and without a doubt yours too. I wanted this compilation to give back not only to all who supported us, but to a cause that everyone can agree upon: the eradication of a terrible disease.

Year One is only the beginning. So much more is to come. I thank you all again from the bottom of my heart.
